At Staffordshire FA, We Want To Celebrate The People Who Make Grassroots Football Great For Everyone.

It’s our way of saying a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who inspire us all. The awards honour the clubs, leagues, projects and volunteers that exemplifies the spirit of grassroots football.

How the awards work
The awards are split into seven categories, and anybody can nominate people into the category through the online nomination portal. Nominations are open throughout each month, before a judging process takes place to decide the winners.

Criteria:

Match Official of The Month
Who has the determination and drive to ensure everyone plays fair? Tell us about the match official who has impressed you on match day with their fairness and empathy, reliability and fitness. Your nominee should be an excellent official who evaluates skilfully, someone who is keen to ensure that players can learn while enjoying football at the same time.

Goal of The Month
Have you scored a rocket, or witnessed an outstanding team move? The Goal of The Month category is open for any goal scored by a Staffordshire FA affiliated team. As long as you have got video footage of the goal, it’s ready to be nominated! Please note: Any team under the age of 18 will require consent from all players and parents.

Club of The Month
The Club of The Month award recognises outstanding achievements by an England Accredited club. Clubs must demonstrate exceptional accomplishments, innovation, or positive impact on its members or the community. Whether through events, community service, or member engagement, winning clubs set a benchmark for excellence, inspiring others with their exceptional contributions.

The Lioness Award
This award celebrates accomplishments in the realm of women and girls' game. This honor recognises individuals, teams, coaches, and players who have excelled in their contributions to the women's and girls' sector, whether through exceptional coaching, outstanding team performance, or individual player achievements. The Lioness Award shines a spotlight on those who elevate and inspire the world of women's sports.

We Only Do Positive Award
‘We Only Do Positive’ is The FA’s strategic approach to highlight the importance of positive behaviour, environments & sportsmanship – both on and off the pitch. This award will go to somebody who has been nominated for going the extra mile in the grassroots game to ensure positivity is wide-spread, whether that’s in training, in the stand or on the pitch.

Grounds Team of The Month
The Grounds Team of The Month award acknowledges outstanding efforts in maintaining and enhancing football pitches and facilities. Each month, this honor is bestowed upon a team that has demonstrated exceptional dedication and expertise in field and facility management. Through their commitment, they ensure top-notch playing conditions, fostering a positive environment for players and fans, setting the standard for quality in sports grounds management.

Volunteer of The Month
Who gives up their own time to go above and beyond for your club? Tell us who makes a difference as volunteers. Those who make an impact on match days or behind the scenes. Those who are supportive and positively contribute to football in the community for the enjoyment of others.
