Stoke City Ladies FC 4 v 0 FC Reedswood
Heading into the game, both sides had scored 28 goals and neither had conceded a goal in the tournament; however it was the side from the Potteries that seized the initiative, taking the lead after just 4 minutes.
Shortly after they doubled their lead on 19 minutes to make it 2-0, which they held until half time.
FC Reedswood came out in the second half and battled for an equaliser, but Stoke City Ladies closed out the game on 80 minutes when they scored a third to make it 3-0. Shortly after, an own goal from FC Reedswood on 83 minutes sealed their fate and saw Stoke City Ladies FC lift the trophy for the 10th time in the competitions history.
We would like to extend our thanks to Brocton FC for our use of their excellent facilities and for those in attendance who will surely have enjoyed an exciting game.
