After a tame start in a very evenly matched game, the deadlock was finally broken on 39 minutes when Kris Shenton put The Sportsman into the lead after a defensive mix up. Half Time Score: 1-0.

The second half sprung into life in the 61st minute when Greenhoffs were awarded a penalty and given an opportunity to equalise, however they were denied by a good save.

Greenhoffs continued to push on for their equaliser and were duly rewarded after a stunning 25 yard effort from Ryan Williams levelled the scores on 75 minutes.

The game seemed destined for extra time, however Callum Holdcroft smashed home from inside the penalty area after 94 minutes to snatch the game for The Sportsman FC.
