Staffordshire FA are excited to announce changes to our Women’s County Cup competition to provide the best experience for our teams moving into the season ahead.

Over recent years, Staffordshire FA’s Women’s County Cup has been a hallmark event of the season, showcasing the best of the Women & Girls game in our county. As the game continues to grow and develop, we are excited to announce changes to our Women’s County Cup competition.

The 2024/2025 season will see the introduction of the Women’s Vase which will host women’s teams from Tier 5 and below in the Women’s Pyramid. The introduction of this competition provides an opportunity for Women’s teams across Tiers 5-7 of the Pyramid a great opportunity to compete for silverware in the upcoming season and seeding this competition will ensure games remain competitive.  

The Women’s Challenge Cup will also see some changes to ensure the prestige of the competition showcases the best of women’s football within our county. This year, finalists of the Vase will compete against Tier 3 opposition with the aim of reaching the Women’s Challenge Cup Final.  

It’s an exciting time ahead across Women’s Football in Staffordshire and changes to the County Cup Competitions will provide a more competitive experience and further opportunities to showcase the fast-growing pathway.
