Congratulations to Georgina Chandler of Leek Town who has been named as Staffordshire FA’s Volunteer of The Month for October.

Georgina is heavily involved in the Junior section of Leek, and plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation.

Not only does she ensure the coaches are update-to-date and compliant, she also looks after the welfare of 19 teams, 15 boys teams and 4 girls teams, equating to around 200 children.

Georgina also looks after fixtures, ensuring all teams have the opportunity to experience playing league matches on the home stadium pitch.

On top of all of this, she organises Leek’s ‘Mini Blues’ on Monday nights for around 60 boys and girls aged from 4 years upwards to help get them into football.
