Staffordshire Football Association is saddened to hear of the passing of Life Vice President and Council member Brian Adshead. 

Brian joined the Staffordshire FA in 1996 and brought the Association into the modern era, guiding it through its incorporation in 1999 and transforming it into the professional organisation that it has been since.  

Standing as County Secretary / Chief Executive Officer from 1996 until his retirement in 2016, Brian has sat on Council as a Life Vice President and gained the same honour with the Football Association in 2013.  

An ever-present figure across Staffordshire football; whether it be the professional or the grassroots game it played a huge part of his life.
